Accolades
The NFRS Accolades scheme began in 2014, and is a way of recognising and rewarding breeders who are actively breeding and/or exhibiting rats which excel at shows, with different awards to celebrate success in both the pet and varieties sections.
As accolades are awarded for only a year at a time; they provide the breeder with an opportunity for continual achievement, and others with a way to identify those breeders who are currently striving to breed rats that meet the NFRS standards.
The currently awarded accolades are:
Varieties
- Bronze: 4 breed class wins (with star(s) awarded) at four separate shows.
- Silver: 4 section AA wins (with star(s) awarded) at four separate shows.
- Gold: 4 supreme challenge placings (with star(s) awarded) at four separate shows.
Pets
- Bronze: Place 1-4 in a pet class at four separate shows.
- Silver: Place 1st in a pet class at three separate shows.
- Gold: Place 1-4 in the pet challenge in at least two separate shows beating at least 100 rats, or place 1-4 in the pet challenge at four separate shows.
